SWARA conducted an ‘Awareness Programme on Pocso Act 2012’ for the students of final year BSW and First year MSW, on 20/11/2024, from 10.00 am to 11.30 am at Conference Hall. Adv. Mridhula Vineesh guided the session as resource person.

SWARA called for a general body meeting on 30/8/2024 at 1.45 pm. The meeting facilitated for the for the panel discussion followed by the drawing competition. Ms Shamshiya Isgak welcomed the gathering. Mr. Jaise Antony inaugurated the meeting.

The session elaborated the subject theme as ‘what is addiction, types of addiction and stages of addiction’. Fr. Rajan Fousto, Manager, inaugurated the brogramme. The session was nourished with the sharing of Mr Shijo Joseph, the Resource person.

Management Exhibition INICIO was hosted on 14/2/24 in the new block auditorium and attracted audience including students and faculties . The event was inaugurated jointly by Principal Dr Denny Philip and manager Rev Fr Rajan Fausto. The event showcased innovative projects,ideas and business models developed by students. It serve as a testament to the talent and potential of the students of department of Management Studies.

SWARA in association with Rotary club conducted ‘Voice of Compassion’ a programme to donate cloths for the poor. The programme conducted on 14/11/2023 from 10.30 to12.30 at New Block Auditorium. The chair person Ms. Cicily Joseph provided the information regarding the programme. The chief guest Dr Denny Philip(Principal) inaugurated the programme and handed over the cloths to Rotary club President. There after with the group photo session, the programme had come to the end.

SWARA Conducted felicitation program to congratulate Mr. Leo Sebastian (2nd year PG) who got selection in the Basket Ball team of Kannur university. And the same program witnessed the transfer of power of the executives to the new. Dilna was appointed as new secretary of the SWARA.

SWARA Organised program, in association with national health mission, kerala health service department, bhoomioka project and women cell, called ‘gender and youth’ for empowering women. The various programs such as competitions, free anaemia test for girls and awareness programmes are conducted. The chief guest Mr. Vijin (MLA) inaugurated the program. The presence of Mr. M Shreedhran(Panchayath President), Rev. Fr Rajan Fausto(Manager), Mr. Denny Philip(Principal) , Dr P.K Anil Kumar(NHM District Program Officer), Ms Cicily Joseph(HOD, Social Work) and Ms Rajasree(District Coordinator, Bhoomika) made the Program successful.

Teacher’s day was celebrated in the department of social work by the SWARA. The faculties were felicitated by the gifts.

• 23/8/2023 SWARA held the ‘LEGAL LITERACY CLASS’ Right to information Act on August 23, 2023, from 10.00 AM to 01:30 PM at New Block Auditorium on behalf of legal literacy mission, Main Campus, featuring Mr. Padman and Mr Pavitran as resource persons. The program was successful by 132 participants.

The Association SWARA held the ‘DHEERA’ Self Defense class for girls on August 22, 2023, from 2.30 PM to 04:30 PM at New Block Auditorium, Main Campus, featuring Mr. Jeethu K Joseph(2nd year PG), Ms Fathimathu Sana O K(2nd year BSW) and Abhinav R(2nd year BSW), the students of our campus as resource persons, the program was inaugurated by the principal Mr. Denny Philip. The program was successful by 93 participants.

SWARA association had celebrated world environment day by planting a tree in the campus. The principal Dr. Denni Philip inaugurated the program by planting it.

The Association SWARA organised 3 day programme for the social work department as the part of World Social Work day. The days are featured with various kinds of activities such as scientific poster making, social work quiz competitions, treasure hunt, and debate. The second year students are awarded with the title overall champions.

Swara Association Organized ‘Happiness Day Celebration’. As the part of the programme, there will be placed Instagram frame and Sticky Knock Chart in the campus.

“ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARENESS PROGRAM “ –organized by department of Management Studies in collaboration with DIC,Kannur on 26/10/21

To utilize this pandemic period, the Department of Management Studies in collaboration with Entrepreneurship development club, St. Joseph’s College, Pilathara attempted to host its debut webinar “THE NEO NORMAL ENTREPRENEUR” on the topic “How to become a digital entrepreneur in the post covid era” on 22/09/20. The webinar aims to develop awareness on changes in entrepreneurial practice. The session also intends to motivate, encourage and develop the new and existing entrepreneurs towards digitalization. The session was handled by Dr. K.P Najeemudheen- Professor, Writer and Corporate Mentor. The webinar was inaugurated by our College Patron Rt. Rev. Dr. Alex Vadakumthala – Bishop, Kannur Diocese. There were 164 participants, and the webinar turned out to be a great success, as every student who attended expressed their feedback which suggests that the initiative taken has turned to be fruitful.
