St. Joseph’s College Pilathara is a prestigious institution renowned for its academic excellence and holistic student development. Established in 2005 by the Diocese of Kannur with the vision of providing quality education to the aspiring youth of educationally progressing northern Kerala in context of the New Education Policy. The inception of St.Joseph’s college in 2005 with two courses B.Com and BSW was necessitated by the huge demand for higher education which could not be sufficiently met by the few existing institutions and was legitimatized by the consequent change in national policy to start colleges with un-aided status at the turn of the last century. The college is situated at the heart of Pilathara town in a 10 Acre campus on NH 66. Rt. Rev. Dr. Alex Vadakkumthala is the President of the Governing body of St.Joseph’sCollege,whose mission was to work for the spiritual, social, educational, cultural and economic upliftment of the people.
